Who We Are

For over 20 years, Plumas Community Hospice has been providing support to patients and families experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Our volunteers help make the most of an individual’s remaining, precious time by listening compassionately, assisting with care, and focusing on comfort and quality of life in a respectful and kind manner.

Guidance • Knowledge • Care

Our volunteers will help guide you and your loved ones through the end-of-life journey. They will help answer the difficult questions you may have, and, if needed, connect you with additional services.

We are here for you.

Many of our volunteers have experienced the loss of a loved one
and were later drawn to Hospice care, some have heard about
hospice and support the hospice philosophy of care, and others
simply want to help others. They share a strong belief in kindness
and compassion and are all committed to comfort and quality for
every individual at the end-of-life.

When we are invited into the home, it is like walking into a unique story that is unfolding. We begin by respectfully listening to the family’s needs and concerns. We do not judge your surroundings. We are then able to provide the needed comfort, care or guidance regarding the end of life process as well as resources and respite relief for the caregivers.

You Are Not Alone.
