What is Hospice?

Think of hospice as a philosophy of compassionate care for a loved one at the end of life.

Hospice also offers respite and support for the family, in particular for a family caregiver.

Although the word “hospice” might trigger the notion of giving up on life,
the goal is to give a person the best possible quality of life — emotional, physical and spiritual comfort.

More of What We Do

Support

Our volunteers offer practical and emotional support to patients with terminal illness and their families. Services may include letter writing, explaining comfort options such as music, reading, listening & connection.

Giving caregivers a break

Volunteers may also provide family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone. Volunteers can also help care for a family pet.

You Are Not Alone.
